Artist's folding fan: Kajino Genzan (1868-1939). Flowering old plum tree

Trunk of an old plum tree, with a new branch with pink blossoms. Painting with ink and a few colours on paper with a mother-of-perl effect. Signed: Genzan hitsu, sealed: Genzan (Kajino Genzan, pupil of Suzuki Shonen). On the same paper at the back side red seal of a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) of Kyoto: Kyôtoshi Muromachidori Matsubara agaru; Yoshida (?) Kinu, Ryôkan, business sign: Naka. 10 bamboo sticks and 2 guards. Just a little bit worn, otherwise very good condition. Late Meiji, early Taishô period. Size c L 27 x W 46 cm.
