Aketchi Mitsuhide was a native of Mino. In early life
he travelled a lot and got a comprehensive geographical knowledge of many
provinces. Later on he served Nobunaga, who started an extensive land survey in
1580.
Mitsuhide and his relatives (Nº T31) started a
treacherous rebellion against Nobunaga in 1582, to kill him at the Honnoji
temple in Kyoto, but only to be defeated by Hideyoshi soon afterwards. (See
also Nº T01, T17, T30, T31).
