Utagawa Yoshitora (worked about 1850-1880)

Scene from the battle at Mikata-ga-hara (1572). At the right side Tokugawa Ieyasu on horseback, from the left comes his faithful vassal Vasall Honda Tadakatsu. Both are surrounded by fleeing and wounded followers. In the background the Tenryű river. The army of Ieyasu was defeated by Takeda Shingen in this battle.
