in two parts

Kimono-chest
in two parts made out of honey-coloured
Kiri-wood (Paulownia). In the
upper part with three drawers,
beneath a smaller one and two
drawers on top of each other.
Very nice original wrought-iron
mountings with round lock panels
and square handles (Kakute style).
Japan,

drawers (Bô-dansu)

One-piece
kimono-chest
made of Kiri-wood.
With
three drawers in the upper part,
which can be locked altogether
with a bolt. Beneath are two
drawers and one smaller door.
Skilfully worked out ornamental
iron-mountings with lock panels, edge protections,
and handles (Kakute style).
A
very
decorative and valuable
collector's item with nice wood
grain and splendid iron-mountings.
Japan,
