Kimekomi royal court with the original palace and all the equipment for the Hina-Matsuri

Lovingly worked out Kimekomi royal court with 15 dolls: emperor and empress, three ladies of the court, five musicians, two guards (generals), three servants, and equipment with food, lacquered tables, plants, lanterns (electrified). All persons are dressed in the traditionel, classical, and coloured brocade robes of the Heian period. All the silk and brocade cloths had been fixed onto the modelled bodies very carefully. The very fine modelled, bright gofun heads have individual faces, partly with open mouths and dimples on the chin. The palace, an elegant show case, is partly glazed or covered with brocade, both sides are made of keyaki-wood. Tokyo, Taishô period, h 69,5 x w 50,5 x d 42,5 cm.
